Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider that operates that feature. The provider processes the query and supplies the response. We do not keep or record those search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
We retain an email or other direct message as needed to answer it. The communication remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a visitor loads a page, the servers automatically receive certain technical and usage details:

We do not maintain, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal records. The published material explains where Dooly County records are kept and how to contact the Dooly County Sheriff's Office, the appropriate courts, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation's Georgia Crime Information Center, and the Georgia Sex Offender Registry. Georgia criminal-history dissemination is governed by O.C.G.A. § 35-3-34. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not compiled into consumer reports or third-party criminal files.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Information submitted through a tool is handled under that provider's privacy policy rather than this policy. Each provider controls its own retention and disclosure practices, so review those terms before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to sheriff pages, court systems, Georgia agencies, legal-aid organizations, or outside search providers. Once a visitor follows one of those links, the destination's privacy policy controls. Review it before providing personal information.
Some advertising providers may use activity across websites to select ads. That collection occurs through the provider's systems, not ours.
